Mary Kuba
Mary Kuba is a young adult member of VUMC who has been involved her whole life.
She has been a member since she was baptized at Violetville UMC by Rev. Harold Ammons as a baby. She went on to become a Sunday School student, and then a Sunday School teacher. Mary enjoys working with the children and youth at Violetville. She led a very successful Vacation Bible School last year (with the most children attending ever!), and has taken a group of teens to the youth retreat called ROCK in Ocean City twice.
She has volunteered as a camp counselor for a week at Camp Manidokan six times and worked as a full time staff camp counselor for an entire summer. Mary currently lives in Violetville with her mother, Joan Kuba, and her dog, Suni, but will soon be moving to Pennsylvania. She is getting married this fall to Larry, whom many know as the “picture man” from the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and VBS.
Mary’s favorite scripture is I Corinthians 13: 1-13. She always enjoys hearing the words, “Love is patient, love is kind” at weddings and during worship. In fact, this scripture text will be read at her wedding.
