| Rev. Allmond's Call to Ministry |
|
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you” (Jer. 1:5). If asked to consider the people and events that influenced her call to ministry, Pastor Sheridan Allmond will tell you that God’s assurance to Jeremiah comes to mind. In order to ensure that she is properly equipped for ministry, part of her spiritual journey includes working on her Masters of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC., where she continues her commitment to acknowledging Christ as Lord and Savior and to live and encourage others to live as faithful Christian disciples. Pastor Sheridan believes God has told her as He also told Jeremiah to “go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you.” Since her appointment in July 2006, her obedience to His will has included the people of God called Violetville United Methodist Church. You may reach her at 443-386-1256 or by email as listed in our contacts section. Pastor Sheridan schedules daytime and evening meetings, appointments and visitations Monday through Friday. No journey is ever made truly made alone; so God gave Pastor Sheridan a wonderful helpmate, her husband Joel and their German Shepherd, Apollo. The writer of Psalm 37 tells us to “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” And so their extended family includes Joel’s children Christopher and Amber and grandchildren TaShaun and Christian.
Each day gives us the opportunity to claim this promise anew. Pastor Sheridan encourages you to visit us, become a part of our journey as we embrace that guarantee! |
